    The St. Francis d’Istria monastery is probably the best preserved monastery in the region. The first stone was laid in 1591 and its construction lasted ten years. The first occupants were the Observant friars of the Order of the Franciscans. This place played a significant role in the history of Corsica during its construction. The region is also a prehistoric place with thousand-year-old trees.

    Typical family house in the town of Corbara. Repointed stone arches where our ancestors lived. The guests are provided help with tips on heritage places to visit (architecture and coastline) and a list of traditional restaurants where they can discover Corsican cuisine. Books on Corsica are available in the rooms and in the living room of the house. Temporary exhibitions of Corsican artists (paintings and crafts) are regularly held in the lounge.
